In October 2026, the ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg selected ten projects led by employees actively involved in charitable activities.

As it does every October, the Foundation’s annual Minigrants award ceremony took place on 15 October at the ArcelorMittal headquarters in Luxembourg City. The Minigrants programme is an initiative designed to support projects led by associations or foundations active in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, in which our local employees volunteer their time and expertise.

Each year, the Foundation provides financial support to projects aligned with its mission by distributing a total budget of €30,000 among initiatives validated by a jury and approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. To be selected, a project must contribute to at least one of the Foundation’s priority areas: social initiatives, education, culture and heritage, or the environment.

This year, twelve applications were submitted to the Foundation. The ten selected projects presented their initiatives:

  • Enzo ta belle leçon de vie: financial support to help fulfill the dreams of children affected by cancer.
  • Maison des Sports et Loisirs de Mondelange: inclusive sports and arts programmes for children, promoting development, self-confidence and social inclusion.
  • Parcours Rose du Pays Haut 2026: an October Breast Cancer Awareness charity run whose proceeds are donated to breast cancer organizations or used to fund adapted medical equipment.
  • Escapade: strengthening an educational farm dedicated to learning, nature and animal welfare for people with physical or mental disabilities.
  • The Insight Project: supporting the professional reintegration and empowerment of three women who have experienced exploitation through vocational training and the provision of equipment needed to build sustainable careers.
  • Sabi Africa Center: Pan-African Nights, a series of three cultural events promoting African cultures and intercultural dialogue in Luxembourg through music, art, fashion, film and literature, while fostering social cohesion and inclusion.
  • Foyer Rural de Zoufftgen: organization of cultural, sporting and community events in a French village to finance sound equipment for dance and gymnastics classes.
  • Maison Croix-Rouge Aubange-Messancy: a summer first-aid training camp for children aged 10 to 12.
  • Education à la Soutenabilité et à l’Environnement: enhancing educational workshops on biodiversity, the circular economy and sustainability, helping raise environmental awareness among young people in Luxembourg.
  • MyElmen: improving community life in Elmen through local events, including a children’s football tournament planned for 2027.
