Health and Safety at Work Forum

This strategy reflects the solidarity of national partners to give new impetus to safety and health at work and to mobilise all stakeholders, whether at the employer or employee level.

ArcelorMittal Luxembourg, a loyal partner of this Forum for many years, was again present for this edition with a stand that mental health first aid widely implemented in the company, virtual reality training for operating overhead cranes, which allows new arrivals, but also more experienced crane operators, to carry out load driving exercises, and this in a very realistic virtual environment accompanied by different scenarios where trainees must carry out several successive tasks, and familiarize themselves, without danger, with the subtleties of the crane operator’s job; training on the theme “Our brain, a supporter of the least effort” explaining that the human brain can, in certain cases, put us in danger, particularly when it is not focused on the present moment, the danger can then arise without being properly understood. Beyond the awareness sessions on the stand, this subject was also presented during a conference which broke an audience record for the forum.
