Created by Arbed in 1993 and housed in the Pavillon du Centenaire in Esch-sur-Alzette, the Schlassgoart gallery aims to promote art and artists from Luxembourg and abroad. The Schlassgoart gallery is a non-profit association rather than a commercial art gallery. Indeed, buyers and exhibiting artists exchange directly. Therefore, artists benefit from significant exposure as a result of the sponsorship of ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg.

Its steel building with its bold architecture, located on rue Arthur Useldinger, was donated to the City of Esch-sur-Alzette by ArcelorMittal Luxembourg on the occasion of the City’s Centenary. Through its exhibitions, the Galerie Schlassgoart is proud to contribute to the diversity of the cultural offering of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette.

Since its creation, the gallery has hosted more than 90 exhibitions highlighting some 200 contemporary artists.
