The Foundation supports a partnership with the LIST to improve the energy performance of ArcelorMittal’s industrial sites in Luxembourg. In 2019, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and ArcelorMittal Luxembourg signed a five-year agreement in 2019, and renewed in 2024, to work jointly to research and develop innovative projects and services in the areas of improving energy efficiency and responsible use of resources, optimising multiple energy efficiency measures, heat recovery and electricity generation from excess heat. The research field is part of ArcelorMittal’s process of transitioning to a circular economy and circular steel production.
Up to 2029, our teams will continue their partnership, focusing in particular on issues related to the decarbonisation of steel production.
